1. About us

VitaeKit (“VitaeKit”, “we”, “us”, “our”) provides the resume-building tool available at vitaekit.com. For any question about these terms, contact us at support@vitaekit.com.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using VitaeKit at vitaekit.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

3. Use of the service

You may use VitaeKit to build, preview, customise, and download resumes for yourself or on behalf of another person with their permission. You may not:

• Use the service to create content that is illegal, defamatory, fraudulent, or that infringes anyone’s intellectual property or personal rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, other accounts, or our infrastructure
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content from the service except where expressly permitted
• Resell, sublicense, white-label, or rebrand VitaeKit’s templates or output as a standalone product
• Use the AI features to generate content that violates the AI provider’s acceptable-use policy (no harassment, no illegal content, no spam generation)

4. Account registration

You can use the free tier anonymously without creating an account. To unlock paid products, sync your resume across devices, or use AI features, you must register an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

5. Your content

You retain full ownership of every word, image, and detail you enter into the editor. We do not claim any rights to your resume content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you (e.g. cloud-syncing your resume across your own devices, rendering it in templates, generating downloads, processing AI features on your request). This licence terminates when you delete the content or close your account.

6. Templates and intellectual property

Our resume templates, design assets, code, fonts, and all other materials provided through VitaeKit remain the property of VitaeKit. You are granted a non-exclusive licence to use the templates to create resumes for yourself or on behalf of another individual job seeker. You may not resell, sublicense, or rebrand the templates as a standalone product or as part of a competing service.

7. Paid products

VitaeKit offers the following paid digital products alongside the free tier:

• Single Template — unlocks one template of your choice for 30 days, with customisation, photo upload, and watermark-free downloads on that template only
• All Templates — unlocks all templates for 30 days, with full customisation, photo upload, and unlimited watermark-free downloads
• Pro Pack — everything in All Templates plus a bundle of AI credits for resume tailoring, bullet rewriting, and ATS scanning
• AI Credits Top-up — standalone consumable credits that can be spent on AI features, valid for 90 days from purchase

All paid products are one-time charges. There are no subscriptions, no recurring billing, and nothing auto-renews. To regain access after a 30-day pass expires, purchase the product again. Prices are listed in USD on the pricing page and may be adjusted to local currency by the payment processor at checkout.

Payment processing is handled by a third-party payment processor that acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. They collect and remit any applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax) in your jurisdiction.

8. Refunds

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on every paid product. Email support@vitaekit.com within 30 days of purchase for a full refund — no questions asked. Full details and process are in the refund policy.

9. Cancellation and account closure

Because there are no subscriptions or recurring charges, there is nothing to cancel mid-billing-cycle. A 30-day pass expires automatically at the end of its window. You will not be re-charged.

You can close your account at any time from the /account page. Closing your account is permanent and triggers the data deletion described in §10 below.

10. Data handling after cancellation

When you close your account, we delete your personal data on the following timeline:

• Resume content and account profile → deleted within 7 days
• Active access tokens → revoked immediately at account closure
• Database backups → resume content is purged from backups within 30 days of account closure
• Payment history → retained for at least 7 years for tax and accounting compliance (financial records cannot legally be deleted on demand)
• Server logs containing your IP / request data → retained for 30 days from the original request, then deleted on a rolling basis

11. No warranty

VitaeKit is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no guarantees about uptime, feature continuity, the persistence of data stored in your browser, PDF or DOCX rendering fidelity on every device, the accuracy or appropriateness of AI-generated content, or the outcome of any job application you submit using a resume built with the service. Applicant Tracking Systems evolve over time; while we test our templates against major parsers, we cannot guarantee that every ATS everywhere parses every field perfectly.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VitaeKit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service — including, but not limited to, lost job opportunities, lost drafts due to browser data loss, AI-output errors, ATS parsing failures, or any other outcome related to a job application. Our maximum aggregate liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount you have paid to VitaeKit in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law (including statutory consumer protections in your country of residence).

13. Changes to the service and these terms

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Material changes to these terms will be announced via in-app notice or email to registered users at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting support@vitaekit.com. If informal resolution is unsuccessful, the dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Attock, Punjab, Pakistan.

Where applicable, mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence remain in effect notwithstanding this clause and provide you with rights that cannot be reduced by these terms.
